Officers responded near 4:30 p.m. Aug. 18 to the Target store for a report of two shoplifters in custody, police said. Store personnel reported observing the suspects steal merchandise worth a total of $207.83.
Both suspects, Edna Bullard, 20, of Trenton, and Felicia Carsella, 35, of Hamilton, were arrested and later released pending court action, according to police.
Shortly after 10 p.m. Aug. 23, police said officers responded to a parking lot in The Orchard for a report of a suspicious occupied vehicle possibly involved in marijuana use. Upon arrival, officers smelled the odor of marijuana.
Investigation revealed that the driver, Michael K. Davis, 31, of Cookstown, was in possession of a jar of marijuana, a marijuana grinder, a digital scale, a bag of suspected cocaine, two packets of prescription narcotics and a box of empty zip style baggies of a type commonly used to package narcotics for sale, police said. Mr. Davis also had $1,400 in cash.
Mr. Davis was charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of cocaine, under the Influence of narcotics, possession of prescription narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was arrested and later released pending court action.
Officers responded at 1:25 a.m. Aug. 24 to Old Trenton Road at Millstone Road for a report of a motor vehicle accident in which a vehicle had failed to stop at a stop sign and proceeded through the intersection, striking the curb on the opposite side of the roadway, police said.
The driver, Sean Flatley, 22, of Windsor Regency, was given field sobriety tests and was arrested for driving while intoxicated, according to police.
Mr. Flatley was also charged with reckless driving, careless driving, failure to stop at stop sign, and under the influence of narcotics.
He was later released pending court action.
A complainant reported that someone had stolen his bicycle, which had been left unsecured outside a Mercer County library on Abbington Drive, police said. The bicycle was described as a brown and orange “chopper” style bicycle worth approximately $75. The theft is said to have occurred between 1 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. Aug. 23.***
An unnamed complainant reported that all four tires on her vehicle, which was parked in the parking lot of her apartment building, were cut and flattened between 10 p.m. Aug. 24 and 6:40 a.m. Aug. 25. Damage is estimated at $400 and the incident is under investigation. ***
Stephanie Beebe, 31, of Burlington, was charged with shoplifting at Walmart just after 2:20 p.m. Aug. 25, according to police.
Officers responded to the Walmart for a report of a shoplifter in custody, police said. Store personnel reported observing the suspect attempt to exit the store without paying for two LED televisions worth $596.
Ms. Beebe was arrested and later released pending court action.
Officers responded to McDonalds at 2:24 p.m. Aug. 25 for a report of a woman lying in the parking lot, police said. Witnesses reported seeing the woman exit the restaurant and stagger toward her vehicle when she collapsed.
Officers found the woman, Jean Woodcock, 52, of Wiltshire Drive, with an odor of an alcoholic beverage and bloodshot, watery eyes, police said. Her speech was slurred and it was learned that she had driven to the restaurant. She was given field sobriety tests and charged with driving while intoxicated.
Ms. Woodcock was also charged with careless driving and reckless driving.
She was later released pending court action.
Police stated that a complainant reported that his unsecured vehicle was entered while parked on Cypress Court and a GPS unit, worth approximately $200, was stolen between 7:30 p.m. Aug. 24 and 1 p.m. Aug. 25.
A complainant reported that her unsecured vehicle was entered while parked on Glenwood Circle and a GPS unit worth approximately $100 was stolen between 8 a.m. Aug. 24 and 7 a.m. Aug. 25, police said.
Police said a complainant reported that he was standing outside his vehicle on Twin Rivers Drive, smoking a cigarette, when he was confronted by an African American man, in his early 20s and wearing a red shirt, a red hat and blue jeans, who produced a knife and threatened to kill him if he did not give him money at approximately 1 a.m. Aug. 26.
Police said the suspect then reached into the victim’s pocket and stole a quantity of money, then reached into the vehicle and stole the victim’s cellular phone, valued at approximately $700.
The victim was uninjured and the incident is under investigation.
According to police, a complainant reported that her unsecured vehicle was entered and a wallet containing approximately $200 cash, credit cards, and personal papers were stolen on Woodmill Drive between 3 p.m. Aug. 26 and 7 a.m. Aug. 27.
A complainant reported that his vehicle was parked in a parking lot on Abbington Drive when a bicycle rack was stolen from the roof of the vehicle between 6 p.m. Aug. 27 and 8:14 a.m. Aug. 28, police said. The center caps to his alloy wheels were also stolen. The value of the stolen items was estimated at $230.
Hightstown
At 8:45 a.m. Aug. 23 officers responded to the 100 block of Williams Street on a reported burglary from a vehicle, police stated. The victim reported that between 10 p.m. Aug. 22 and 6:10 a.m. Aug. 23 an unknown person or persons entered the vehicle and removed a smart sound radio system valued at approximately $200. There was no forced entry and the vehicle was left unlocked.

Between 3:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. Aug. 23 an unknown person or persons entered into a vehicle parked in the Stockton Street Lot, while the driver made a delivery to a local business, police said. The victim reported that while on the delivery, the vehicle was entered into, which was unlocked, and approximately $2,000 to $3,000 in cash was stolen.

Near 12:30 p.m. Aug. 24 at the Hightstown Borough Police Department, Mr. Rafael Arias, 63, of Princeton Arms, East Windsor, turned himself in a warrant issued by Hightstown Borough Municipal Court in the amount of $190, police said.
Mr. Arias was released upon posting the bail and authorizing a bail waiver to conclude his matters with the court.
On Aug. 28 between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. an unknown subject or subjects removed reflective sticks from a residence in the 100 block of Stockton Street and then utilized the sticks to damage a flower bed at the Methodist Church, Stockton Street, police said. The amount of loss was not known at the time of the report.

Between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. Aug. 28, an unknown person or persons removed an American flag and its pole from the Civil War Monument located at Stockton Street and Rogers Avenue. The flag and pole were valued at approximately $100.
