Lt. Stephen J. Bartzak, commanding officer, West Amwell Township Police Department, reported:
— On Aug. 22, at about 11:35 p.m., police went to a car/deer accident on Route 202 near the Route 29 exit.
Natalia Kolakowska, of New Britain, Connecticut, was driving south when her vehicle struck the deer. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained heavy front- end damage and was towed. Patrolman Todd Pantuso took the report.
— On Aug. 26, at about 10:59 a.m., police investigated a minor three-vehicle accident in the parking lot of the Lambertville Antique Market on Route 29.
Sebastian Reist, of Ewing, was driving through the lot when a vehicle, operated by Frederick Karch, of Rocky Hill, backed from a parking space into the Reist vehicle, pushing it into a parked vehicle, owned by Ruby DeStefano, of Somerville. No injuries were reported. All vehicles sustained minor damage and were driven after a report was prepared by Patrolman Pantuso. No summonses were issued.
The filing of a motor vehicle and/or criminal complaint is merely a step in the criminal justice process. All parties are to be considered innocent until the matter is resolved in a court of law.
Lambertville City police reported:
— On Aug. 27 at 2:18 a.m., Sgt. Robert Brown stopped Jose M. Guzman, 24, of Lambertville, on Route 518 for failure to keep right. Mr. Guzman was subsequently charged with DWI, failure to keep right, driving while his license was suspended, and reckless driving. Mr. Guzman was released pending a court appearance.
— On Aug. 26 at 3:05 p.m., Officer Anthony Memolo went to a residence on Clinton Street to check out a reported theft. Robert G. Jones, 57, said someone had entered his garage and removed a set of golf clubs and bag valued at $ 1,159. The investigation is continuing.
— On Aug. 26 at 10:22 p.m., Detective Michael Miloszar stopped Michael P. Cunningham, 49, of Philadelphia, on Bridge Street after he received a report that alleged that Mr. Cunningham’s vehicle was being driven in an erratic manner.
Mr. Cunningham was found to have an active warrant out of Riverton Police Department for $330. He was released by Riverton police.
— On Aug. 24 at 11 a.m., Detective Miloszar went to the Sojourner shop on Bridge Street to investigate a reported theft. Elsie Coss reported two wooden skeletons with a combined total value of $40s were stolen from her store.
— On Sept. 3 at 3:13 a.m., Officer Michael Gramlich stopped Robin P. Lochner, 50, of Pipersville, Pennsylvania, on Route 29 for speeding. Mr. Lochner was subsequently charged with DWI, speeding, failure to keep right and reckless driving. He was released pending a court appearance.
All subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
