Savor New Hope events begin Friday

   The eighth Savor New Hope Showcase of the Arts will be held Sept. 7-9. It is a tradition that celebrates the arts and artists of the region.
   New Hope Arts will present the Savor dinner on Sept. 9, beginning at 6 p.m. This will feature area chefs, caterers and purveyors of fine dining. The event will be held under tents on Stockton Avenue.
   The NHArts Gallery is featuring the accompanying Savor Exhibition through Sept. 9 with an artist’s reception on Sept. 7 to open the weekend festivities.
   Chefs will create a menu at the Savor New Hope dinner to celebrate the culinary arts. Seventeen restaurants in New Hope, Lambertville and the surrounding area will provide the food and beverages for the fundraiser.
   International designer Gary Lee has designed a “Gold Standard” pavilion setting to showcase the restaurants, provide visitors and residents a sampling of fabulous fare and give back to the community.
   Featured participants are: Anton’s at the Swan, bitter Bob’s, Cafe Europa, El Taco Loco, Fabulous Feast, Hamilton’s Grill Room, Havana, Hotel du Village (wine donation), The Inn at Phillips Mill, John & Peter’s, Karla’s, Marsha Brown’s Creole Kitchen, Martine’s RiverHouse, Mother’s Wine Bar & Restaurant, Nina’s Waffles, Sandbar and Triumph Brewery Company.
   Other contributors are Buckingham Vineyard, Hotel du Village, Bucks Mont Party Rentals, Elite Linen, Republic Services, New Hope Giant Foods and Angel Cards & Gifts.
   The First Bank of Newtown is providing the funding to help generate contributions to the New Hope Arts Center though membership and ticket sales.
