LAWRENCE: Police blotter

   Zahir Fenderson, 27, of Trenton, was charged with receiving stolen property at 8:07 a.m. Sept. 9 at Mount’s Motel on Brunswick Pike after it was discovered that he was in possession of a 2001 Audi that had been reported stolen from its Trenton owner. He was taken to the Mercer County Corrections Center on $5,000 bail for two outstanding warrants.
   A shoplifter escaped with $143.92 worth of infant formula from the CVS drug store on Brunswick Pike at 8:21 a.m. Sept. 7. A store employee saw a woman enter the store, carrying an unzipped handbag. She was observed a short time later leaving the store with the handbag, which was zipped and bulging, and which triggered the store’s security alarm system as she left.
   A 14-year-old Trenton boy was charged with shoplifting an warm-up jacket worth $60 from Macy’s at the Quaker Bridge Mall at 8:32 p.m. Sept. 5.
   The attempted theft of a wheelbarrow was thwarted by a bystander, who noticed two men walking down Michigan Avenue with the wheelbarrow around 5 p.m. Sept. 3. A police officer responded and when they saw him, they fled. They left the wheelbarrow behind. The victim also reported the theft of two push lawn mowers, valued at $65.
   A Burlington man told police that two men sandwiched his car between their cars on the Kelly Viaduct, which is the overpass outside the Quaker Bridge Mall, at 11:30 p.m. on Sept. 2. The two men approached his car, opened his car door and demanded money from him. He gave them $6 and they got in their cars and drove off.
   A Lawrence Township woman reported the theft of her wallet, which contained $300 in cash and her driver’s license, plus her cell phone valued at $100, from her pocketbook between 8:50 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Sept. 2 at Houlihan’s Restaurant on Brunswick Pike. The pocketbook had been hanging on a bar chair.
