Clambake BBQ: Manville-Hillsborough Elks 21st annual clambake and barbecue supports special needs children. 1 to 5 p.m. at Lodge 2119 on Brooks Boulevard. Grilled chicken and sausage, clams, hamburgers, hot dogs, kielbasa, ribs and salads. Entertainment by the Hog Finger band.

Remembrance: Thomas J. Kavanaugh Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2290 and its Ladies Auxiliary will conduct the annual POW/MIA service at the post home at 600 Washington Ave., starting at 7 p.m.

Community Day: Noon to 4 p.m. in Lincoln Park in Lost Valley, sponsored by the town government and Recreation Department. Food, games for kids, vendor tables, music by a DJ.
Sun., Sept. 23
Pasta supper: Spaghetti and meatballs dinner, penne in vodka sauce and baked ziti. Sponsored by Sacred Heart Altar Rosary Society in church auditorium on Filak Street. 3-7 p.m. $8 adults, $4 kids 8 and younger. Tickets at door. Food donated by Manville Pizzeria.

Health fair: The Board of Health Department will host the event for residents from 8 a.m. to noon in the community room of the library, 100 South 10th Ave. Vendors, screenings and flu shots will be available.

Tricky tray: More than 100 gift certificates and prizes, including 42-inch TV, outdoor grill, Kindle, appliances, theme baskets. Doors open at 5 p.m.; auction at 7. Tickets at $10 include one sheet of tickets, desserts, coffee and tea. Stuffed cabbage, kielbasi and sauerkraut sandwiches, baked ziti, hot dogs, hamburgers can be purchased.
