BUSINESS HIGHLIGHTS: Green Living Expo, fall programs at YWCA

   The first annual Green Living Expo will be held on Saturday, Sept. 29, at the Princeton Airport on Route 206 in Montgomery from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
   The event has attracted dozens of exhibitors, including new and rare eco-friendly autos, hybrids and electrics, zero emission power stations, innovative consumer products, educational demonstrations, and many others.
   There will also be music, food and fun family friendly events and activities, and door prizes.
   The event is free and attendees will be able to learn about and donate to local educational and environmental causes at the door.

Congratulations
   Saint Peter’s University Hospital has received the Women’s Choice Award from WomenCertified, distinguishing it as one of the 2012 america’s best hospitals for patient experience.
   The award is based on criteria that consider female patient satisfaction and what women say they want from a hospital, including quality physician communications, responsiveness of nurses and support staff, cleanliness and trusted referrals from other women.
   Saint Peter’s University Hospital is a 478-bed acute-care teaching hospital sponsored by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Metuchen. The hospital is located at 254 Easton Avenue in New Brunswick.

   Fall programs
   The YWCA Princeton is offering more than 250 classes and activities this fall, ranging from nursery school, their before/after school program, arts, crafts, dance, English as a second language, financial workshops and martial arts.
   Registration can be done online at www.ywcaprinceton.org/ register for most classes. Other options include by phone at (609) 497-2100, ext. 0; by fax, or in person at 59 Paul Robeson Place in Princeton.
   There are no residential requirements to take classes and virtually every class is open to males and females. A complete listing of the classes can be downloaded from their website.

Free eye exams
   An ophthalmologist will conduct free eye screenings for people with diabetes at Saint Peter’s University Hospital’s Family Health Center, 123 How Lane, New Brunswick, on Saturday, Sept. 29, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
   The program will be hosted by Saint Peter’s and is sponsored by the New Jersey Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired and the state Department of Human Services.
   The screening is for the benefit of individuals with diabetes who do not receive regular eye care due to inadequate or lack of health insurance coverage. Saint Peter’s medical residents will also conduct foot examinations and blood pressure screenings.

New art show
   Morven Museum in Princeton will be exhibiting Portrait of Place: Paintings, Drawings, and Prints of New Jersey (1761-1898) from the Collection of Joseph J. Felcone from Sept. 28 through Jan. 13. For more information, visit historicmorven.org.

Overseas warehouse
   Chambers Street Properties (formerly CB Richard Ellis Realty Trust), a self managed Real Estate Investment Trust headquartered in Princeton, announced it has agreed to purchase a 1 million-square-foot warehouse distribution facility in Koblenz, Germany.
