EAST WINDSOR: Turnpike expansion to impact Route 33

EAST WINDSOR — Route 33 is slated for partial closure to accommodate the widening of the New Jersey Turnpike this autumn.
The work is part of the Turnpike Widening Program, and Route 33 — between Milford Road and Lake Drive — will be closed to traffic on a nightly basis from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday for approximately eight nights.
The tentative scheduled start date for the road work is Sept. 24 and is subject to change.
Traffic traveling from Route 33 westbound to Route 133 westbound and from Route 133 eastbound to Route 33 westbound will be unaffected; all other traffic will follow the posted detour, according to an East Windsor Township press release.
Workers will install girders over Route 33 for the new bridge connecting the Turnpike directly to Route 133.
