JAMESBURG — Festivities are ahead.
Jamesburg will be holding its annual Fall Festival on Sunday, Oct. 7, along West Railroad Avenue from noon to 5 p.m.
The rain date is Sunday, Oct. 14.
Councilwoman Barbara Carpenter said that there will be several Jumpy Rides for the children, train rides and pony rides, classic cars and motorcycles sponsored by the Jamesburg Elks, animal adoptions, live music and vendors.
New to the event this year will be a petting zoo as well as the Boy Scout box cart races — which will be judged.
There will also be a Pumpkin judging contest. Look for the pumpkin table located on West Railroad Avenue near the PNC Bank. Children are asked to bring their own decorated pumpkins to be judged. Prizes will be awarded for the funniest, scariest, cutest and most original.
If interested in becoming a vendor, please contact Councilwoman Barbara Carpenter, chair of public events, at 732-580-4561, or email [email protected]. Information may also be found via the borough’s web page, www.jamesburgborough.org or stop by the Borough Hall, 131 Perrineville Road in Jamesburg to pick up registration packets.
