CHAPTER B
Chapter B members met at the Municipal Building on Sept. 13. We all had a very busy and exciting day.
Doors opened at 10 a.m. for our first-ever Treasure Sale and it was a great success. Many seniors were able to find some treasures and left happy. At 10:30, members were invited to our meeting room so they could take advantage of the many tickets sales for trips and upcoming events.
We were successful in filling two buses to our Oktoberfest at Platzl Brauhaus in Ponoma, N.Y., on Tuesday, Oct. 23. The day includes lunch, beer, soda, cider, dancing and entertainment for a cost of $75. As of the close of the meeting, we had two tickets left to sell. Call our group leader, Phil Stoltz, at 908-359-6068 if interested.
Our sale of tickets to the fall luncheon on Oct. 11 at the Municipal Center has ended. No tickets will be sold at the door. A rebate of $15 (of the $20 advance) will come upon attendance.
Bus spaces have been sold out and there is a waiting list for the trip to the Tropicana Casino on Monday, Dec. 3. The cost of $40 includes bus trip, $15 slot play and a show entitled “Hollywood Canteen Holiday Show.” Lunch is on your own. Group leader is Nancy Greggo and she can be reached at 908-359-8412.
Our next monthly meeting is Oct. 11 at the Municipal Building. After a few brief announcements at noon, our luncheon will begin. Flu shots will be available after the meeting. If interested in receiving the shot, ask for a number as you sign in. Please have your Medicare card available.
Co-President Nancy Bertin reminds you that you only have three more opportunities to satisfy the attendance of five meetings this year to remain a Chapter B member. Our by-laws state that you must attend five meetings to remain a member in good standing. The fall luncheon and holiday party will count, if you attend.
