An unnamed complainant reported that his backyard shed was entered and lawn tools worth a total of approximately $750 were stolen, police said, between Aug. 29 and 6:30 p.m. on Dutch Neck Road.
Officers responded at 11:25 p.m. Sept. 6 to the CVS Pharmacy for a report of an individual, Marcy Traum, 37, of Edison, attempting to fill a fraudulent prescription for narcotics, police said. The prescription was confirmed by officers to be fraudulent.
Mr. Traum was charged with prescription fraud. He later released pending court action.
A complainant reported that she had left her purse unattended in the Taco Bell restaurant and it was stolen between 3:10 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. Sept. 6. The purse reportedly contained $25 cash, a debit card and personal papers.
An unnamed complainant reported that her residence was entered while she was away on vacation between 4 p.m. Aug. 28 and 2 p.m. Sept. 6, police said. It was reported that an iPod worth approximately $200 was stolen, as well as $40 in change and a $25 Macy’s gift card. The incident is under investigation.
An officer responded at 10:07 p.m. Sept. 7 to the Royal Plaza parking lot for a report of an occupied vehicle, which had been parked with its engine running for an extended period of time. Upon arrival, the officer located the vehicle and found the driver, Dominic Scavo, 44, of Trenton, had an odor of an alcoholic beverage and slurred speech, police said.
Police said that he was given field sobriety tests and charged with driving while intoxicated, careless driving and reckless driving.
He was later released pending court action.
Police said at 12:07 a.m. Sept. 10, an officer observed a 2000 Hyundai traveling east on Rt. 133 at an unusually slow speed. The vehicle was also observed operating erratically and was stopped by the officer on Lake Drive.
The driver, Requel Green-Osias, 36, of Country Mill Drive, was observed to have an odor of an alcoholic beverage and bloodshot, watery eyes, according to police. She was given field sobriety tests and Ms. Green-Osias was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, careless driving, obstructing traffic, failure to maintain lane and DWI in a school zone.
She was later released pending court action.
Police stated that between 11 p.m. Sept. 10 and 6:15 a.m. Sept. 11, a complainant reported that sometime overnight, two ATVs were stolen from his yard on Dutch Neck Road. The ATVs were locked with a cable and padlock and were concealed. The total value of both ATVs was estimated at $2,850.
The incident is under investigation.
An officer responded to the Shell service station for a report of an intoxicated male who was leaving the store and preparing to drive his vehicle 11:43 p.m. Sept. 10. Peter Husinko, 41, of Fort Myers, Florida, was observed to have signs of intoxication and was found to have driven his vehicle to the Shell station, police said.
He was found to be in possession of several bottles of legally prescribed narcotics which are known to cause intoxication and admitted to having taken them, police said. He was given field sobriety tests and Mr. Husinko was charged with being under the influence of narcotics, driving while intoxicated, DWI in a school zone, reckless driving and careless driving.
He was later released pending court action.
The complainant reported that his boat and trailer were parked on Probasco Road when they were stolen between 10 a.m. Sept. 9 and 3:56 p.m. Sept. 11, according to police. The estimated value of the stolen items was $3,400. The boat is white in color and has the word “Cigar” printed on the side. It was covered with a blue cover.
2Officers responded to the Target store for a report of a shoplifter in custody 9:04 a.m. Sept. 13. Store personnel reported that Jonathan Santiago, 23, of Trenton, a store employee, was observed putting a Playstation video game down his pants while in the stock room. The game was valued at $59. Mr. Santiago was charged with shoplifting.
He was later released pending court action.
Officers responded to the area of Creations Jewelry on Route 130 for a report of an individual who had just stolen two gold and diamond rings worth a total of $11,000 at 11:40 a.m. Sept. 14, police said. Store personnel reported that the suspect, described as a Latino man, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall with a medium build wearing a white polo shirt and blue jeans with a black baseball cap, had placed both rings on his finger as if to compare the two, then ran from the store.
The incident is under investigation.
At 1:27 p.m. Sept. 14, officers responded to Route 33 near the Turnpike for a report of a four vehicle chain reaction accident, police said. Upon arrival they learned that the drive, Kenneth Bello, 40, of Edgewater, had collided with the rear of another vehicle, causing that vehicle to strike a third vehicle from behind, pushing it into a fourth vehicle, also from behind.
Mr. Bello was found to have an odor of an alcoholic beverage and also admitted to having taken a prescription narcotic prior to driving, police said. He had minor injuries to his hand and refused medical treatment.
Mr. Bello was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, careless driving and following too closely and was later released pending court action.
According to police, the driver of the second vehicle also had a complaint of pain to his arm and head but refused medical transport. The other two drivers were uninjured.
The officer observed a green Volkswagen exit Brewster’s Pub and make an illegal left turn 12:53 a.m. Sept. 15, police said. The vehicle was then observed speeding and operating erratically and was stopped on Route 130.
Police said that the driver, Jennifer Sutphin, 23, of Ewing, was found to have an odor of an alcoholic beverage and bloodshot, watery eyes. She was given field sobriety tests and Ms. Sutphin was charged with driving while intoxicated, obstructed view, open container of alcohol in motor vehicle, careless driving, reckless driving, speeding, failure to maintain lane and failure to wear seatbelt..
She was later released pending court action.
At 10:24 p.m. Sept. 15, an officer observed a 2002 Honda exiting Etra Lake Park and travelling on Disbrow Hill Road in an erratic manner, police said.
The vehicle was stopped and the driver, Jason Alvarez-Machuca, 24, of Upper Darby, was found to have an odor of an alcoholic beverage, according to police. His eyes were watery and droopy and he was given field sobriety tests.
Mr. Alvarez-Machuca was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, careless driving, failure to maintain lane, failure to wear seatbelt and obstructed view. He was released pending court action.
Three Einstein Way residences were burglarized between 6:45 p.m. and 11:16 p.m. Sept. 15, police said. Entry to the residences was made by forcing the front door of two residences and a rear window of the third. In one of the cases, nothing appeared to have been stolen and the burglar alarm was activated. In the second case, a Nikon camera worth approximately $350 and a bottle of vodka worth approximately $50 were stolen, according to police. In the third case, assorted jewelry worth approximately $18,000 was stolen as well as two bottles of prescription narcotics and $190 cash.
The incidents are under investigation.
Just after midnight Sept. 17, an officer observed a 2000 Chevrolet traveling northbound on Route 130 at an unusually slow speed, police stated. The vehicle was also observed to be operating erratically and was stopped on Route 571 westbound after it had turned.
Police said that the driver, Craig Martinez-Swiney, 21, of Hightstown, was found to have an odor of an alcoholic beverage and bloodshot, watery eyes.
He was given field sobriety tests and Mr. Martinez-Swiney was charged with driving while intoxicated, careless driving, reckless driving, obstructing traffic, failure to signal turn, improper turn, failure to maintain lane and uninsured motor vehicle. He was later released pending court action.
The complainant reported that his Millstone Drive residence was forcibly entered through a basement window between 8 a.m. Sept. 14 and 1 p.m. Sept. 18 while he was away for several days, police said. Approximately $1,000 in women’s jewelry was stolen as well as a diamond faced women’s watch worth approximately $1,500. Also, a jar of loose change containing approximately $50 was taken.
The incident is under investigation.
Hightstown
At 5:13 p.m. Sept. 6 on Railroad Avenue, officers responded to a report of a fight in progress, police said. Upon arrival officers observed one of the men involved, identified as James McGlinchy Jr., 41, of First Avenue, who was charged with disorderly conduct.
As a result of the officers’ investigation and Mr. McGlinchy’s continued tumultuous behavior, Mr. McGlinchy was taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct, according to police.
Mr. McGlinchy was later released on a summons complaint with pending court action.
At 6:20 p.m. Sept. 8 on North Main Street, officers charged Emelianan Okyeraboye, 47, of North Main Street, with contempt of court, police said. Officers responded to her residence to serve a warrant issued by Hightstown Borough Municipal Court in the amount of $190.
Upon identifying Ms. Okyeraboye, she was taken into custody and later released upon posting bail.
On Sept. 12 at 9:10 a.m. on Monmouth Street, officers arrested Stephanie Picatagi, 22, of Trenton, and charged her with contempt of court, expired registration, fail to inspect, failure to exhibit a driver’s license and valid insurance card, police said.
According to police, Ms. Picatagi was stopped for the motor vehicle infractions and a credential check revealed an active warrant issued by Robbinsville Township Municipal Court in the amount of $114.
Ms. Picatagi was later released on her own recognizance with pending court action.
Between 10 p.m. Sept. 15 and 6:45 a.m. Sept. 16, a residence of Powell Court reported an attempted burglary to their home, police said. The reporting party stated upon coming home that they found outside furniture moved and a screen cut and ripped from the frame, police said. No entry was gained and no items were reported missing.

On Sept. 18, officers took a report of a theft from a building that occurred between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Sept. 14 on the 400 block of Mercer Street, police said. An unknown person or person were reported to have taken a meter valued at $3,000.
