LONG BRANCH – The Arc of Monmouth invites regional businesses and organizations to attend Community Business Day on Sept. 25 at the Work Opportunity Center (WOC).
The event will provide networking opportunities, complimentary light breakfast, door prizes and tours of the center, which provides employment to over 150 individuals with Down syndrome and other developmental disabilities.
Located at 395 Warburton Place, WOC will host this event from 9 to 11 a.m.
In attendance will be Monmouth County Freeholders Tom Arnone and Serena Di- Maso and representatives from the Long Branch City Council, including John Pallone and Dr. Mary Jane Celli. Interested parties are encouraged to RSVP by calling 732-229-4414, ext. 206 or emailing [email protected].
Tours will be offered to illustrate the services that WOC provides to the community, which include hand packaging and assembly work, re-packaging, shrink-wrapping, shredding, and soon, document imaging services.
The employees completing this work are skilled individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
