Har Sinai Women To Bond at Red Tent Shabbat
Titusville – Women interested in attending a breakfast followed by a walk up Titusville’s Baldpate Mountain for a morning Shabbat service are invited to join the Har Sinai Temple Sisterhood for the Oct. 13 event.
A unique bonding that has become an annual event for the Sisterhood, the Women’s Red Tent begins at 9:30 a.m. under the tent for breakfast. Then participants make the easy, 30-minute climb up the mountain, join in a short service and then walk back down to the parking lot for the 12:30 p.m. conclusion.
Reservations are required by Oct. 10 and there is a charge of $10 per person. If weather is questionable on the day of the hike, check with the temple at (609) 730-8100 before leaving for the service. Call the same number to reserve a spot for the Oct. 13 hike.
Baldpate Mountain is located on Fiddler’s Creek Road.
The hike requires only average stamina, with the exception of a short section of "rock stairs". An easier route by car or foot is available along a paved road. Comfortable shoes, a jacket, and either a blanket or folding chair to sit on are recommended.
