COLTS NECK — The Ashley Lauren Foundation will hold its 2012 Colts Neck Barn Tour fundraiser on Sept. 29. The event is being held in observance of National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
According to a press release, across the nation, thousands of courageous children fight pediatric cancer each year, facing lifethreatening battles. The Ashley Lauren Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing hope and help to New Jersey children who suffer from cancer through financial, material and emotional support. The group’s mission is to relieve the daily burdens thrust upon children as they battle this disease.
The barn tour is an opportunity to visit some of Colts Neck’s farms and stables, where champion hunter jumpers and thoroughbreds are raised and trained. There will be five farms on the tour, including Wellspring Stables, Yellowbrook Farm, Colts Neck Stables and Stillwell Stables.
Tickets cost $30 and are limited and must be purchased in advance. The tour will take ticket holders by bus to each location. Ticket holder sign-in will begin at 11:30 a.m. with buses departing for the tour promptly at 12:30 p.m. from the Colts Neck municipal complex, 124 Cedar Drive. The tour will end at about 4:30 pm.
