Manville Boy Scouts have started their annual popcorn sale which runs through Oct. 12. The annual Patriots Path council-wide sale helps raise funds for the Scouts.
Thirty percent of the sales goes back to the individual Scouts and the proceeds help pay for summer camp, patches and activities. In the past the Scouts sold $2,800 in popcorn which they received a profit of about $975.
This year the popcorn items range from $10 to $55, including caramel corn and popping corn for $10; caramel corn with almonds, cashews and pecans; 18 pack of butter light and 18 pack of unbelievable butter for $18 each. Cheddar Cheese Corn sells for $15 while the kettle corn 18 pack is $22. Chocolate covered pretzels with white chocolate and Chocolatey Triple Delight sell for $22 each.
For those who like the cheese popcorn, there is a cheese lover’s collection with both cheddar and white cheddar; and a new sour cream and cheese for $30. New this year is a sweet and savory collection featuring butter toffee caramel, milk chocolatey pretzels, and sour cream and cheese corn.
A chocolate lover’s collection with chocolatey triple delight, chocolatey caramel crunch, white chocolatey pretzels and chocolatey pretzels give you plenty to snack on for $55. All of the popcorn is made with canola oil and has no trans fat.
The Scouts also have a special popcorn sale that can be donated to troops overseas serving our country. For a $50 donation or a $30 donation, the popcorn will be sent directly to the troops.
For more information or to order popcorn, call Scoutmaster Jim Kelly at (908) 725-1025, email [email protected] or visit the troop’s website at BSATROOP193.com.
