MILLSTONE: Candy donations needed for Halloween parade

    MILLSTONE — Donations of individually wrapped candy are needed for the 23rd Annual Millstone Halloween Parade, which will be held on Sunday, Oct. 28.
   The Millstone Township Fire Company’s Ladies Auxiliary, which is coordinating the parade, is accepting candy donations between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday until Oct. 15 at the fire station, which is located at 461 Stage Coach Road (Route 524).
   On parade day, goody bags will be distributed to children and prizes will be awarded for scariest, funniest, prettiest, most original and most patriotic costumes.
   The parade begins at 2 p.m. sharp on Oct. 28 at which time Route 524 will be closed to traffic. Parking, registration and parade line-up will take at 1:45 p.m. at the fields behind the Clarksburg Inn at 465 Stage Coach Road (Route 524).
   This event is sponsored by Millstone area businesses and organizations. In case of inclement weather, the parade will be held inside the firehouse.
