ALVAREZ & MARSAL EXPANDS TRANSACTION ADVISORY SERVICES TO GLOBAL 1000 AND MID-MARKET COMPANIES
Corporate Development and Deal Specialists David Mulder and Michael Mulder Join Firm
New York, NY n September 24, 2012 – Leading global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) takes aim at corporate acquirers through the expansion of its transaction advisory services with the hiring of corporate M&A and deal specialists, David Mulder and Michael Mulder. The former co-founders of Mulder Associates, Inc. bring proven track records leading corporate development activities, and will extend A&M’s transaction advisory capabilities to Global 1000 and mid-market companies. Joining the firm as managing director, David Mulder will head up these efforts, and Michael Mulder will serve as senior director.
Initially established in 2006, A&M’s Transaction Advisory Group has served primarily private equity firms, and will now expand its reach further into the corporate M&A market. Drawing on the full breadth of financial, operational and business advisory resources across A&M’s global firm, the corporate transaction advisory team brings an integrated and tailored approach to assisting corporate clients on all phases of the investment process, including developing acquisition strategy, conducting financial, commercial, tax and operational due diligence, supporting merger integration and preparing for successful exits.
“By bringing dedicated expertise to corporate M&A transactions, A&M now provides to the strategic acquirer a senior team of professionals who will be involved from the earliest stages of the deal through post-acquisition operational improvement needs,” said Paul Aversano, Managing Director and Global Practice Leader of the firm’s Transaction Advisory Group. “This new service offering builds on our proven track record of serving the private equity market with this same integrated approach, but tailored to the unique needs of the corporate M&A channel.”
“Amidst an environment marked by protracted uncertainty, companies are being forced to work harder and smarter to create value and support growth,” added David Mulder. “In many cases, this means having to assess several opportunities simultaneously and manage multiple deals through the acquisition process. The ability of A&M to provide continuity of services through the entire transaction process on multiple acquisitions will accelerate this process for clients and help lower the costs associated with acquisitions.”
