The BRHS Huddle Club and the Bordentown Youth Football league hold their annual Team Trivia and Basket Auction on Saturday, Sept. 29, at the Hope Hose Firehouse. After five years the Firehouse Gallery of Bordentown, 8 Walnut St., Bordentown City, opens to the public for a special exhibition reopens for a special exhibition, “Faces and Places,” featuring the paintings of Eric Gibbons and Bob Gherardi to coordinate with Bordentown’s Cranberry Festival. Cranberry Festival: The 23rd annual Bordentown City event is from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. Over 140 vendors including jewelry, house plaques, alpaca items, wind chimes, painted glassware, knitted scarves, wood, wreaths, ceramics, cards, art, sculpture, photography, infused oils, cranberry bread. Restaurants will be offering al fresco dining along Farnsworth Avenue. A free shuttle bus will pick up and drop off every 30 minutes. Free parking by Bordentown Elks Lodge 2085, 11 Amboy Ave., Bordentown Township, which is is our newest shuttle bus stop. A separate children’s area with pony rides, build-a-bear, sand art, henna tattoos, face painting, duck pond, and balloons. The Quentin Hausser Memorial Antique and Classic Car Show will be held on Sat., Oct. 6, from noon to 4 p.m. Nearly 100 cars are expected.

The Bordentown Historical Society invites everyone to its Annual Meeting at 7 p.m. at its headquarters in the 1740 Friends Meeting House, 302 Farnsworth Ave. The program will be presented by Jeff Macechak of the Burlington County Historical Society. He is a first-person interpreter who will be portraying J.J. White, of Whitesbog, one of the founders of the cranberry and blueberry industries in New Jersey. The Bordentown Township Senior is sponsoring a trip to Bally’s Casino every third Tuesday of the month. The cost is $25 and the return is $20. Lodge 2085 hosts a breakfast the third Sunday of every month from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. All proceeds benefit the Special Children’s Committee.
