POLICE BLOTTER: Week of Oct. 28

East Windsor
   Officers responded to the intersection of Route 130 and Conover Road for a report of a motor vehicle collision 8:24 p.m. Sept. 19.
   Police said that the investigation revealed that Janice Cvoliga, 49, of Old York Road, had made an improper turn from Conover onto Route 130 and struck the side of another vehicle.
   No injuries were reported as a result of the collision.
   Police stated that Ms. Cvoliga had an odor of an alcoholic beverage and was given field sobriety tests. She was charged with driving while intoxicated, careless driving, reckless driving and improper turning and later released pending court action.
   A complainant reported that she heard a noise inside her Pineybranch Road residence in the kitchen area and went downstairs to investigate at 9:45 p.m. Sept. 17, police said. She opened her front door and observed an individual run across her front lawn from her residence. A screen was discovered cut and open.
   Nothing was reported missing and the incident is under investigation.
Hightstown
   According to police, on Prospect Avenue, officers arrested Manuel Pulla, 60, of Prospect Avenue, and charged him with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated in a school zone, reckless driving, and failure to maintain lane 10:45 p.m. Sept. 22.
   Police said officers observed Mr. Pulla driving in an erratic manner, swerving in the roadway. Officers detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage and had Mr. Pulla perform field sobriety tests, which he failed.
   Mr. Pulla was taken into custody and submitted breath samples that resulted in a reading of 0.11 percent BAC, police said.
   Mr. Pulla was later released to the custody of his family with pending court action.
   At 1:12 a.m. Sept. 22, on Franklin Street, officers charged Oscar Ruch, 22, of The Orchards, East Windsor, with possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana under fifty grams, disorderly conduct, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest by flight, providing false information to a law enforcement officer, and possession of a fraudulent government document.
   Police said during patrol, officers observed Mr. Such riding a bicycle in the opposing lane of travel, in the middle of the roadway, and then observed Mr. Such crash on the side of the roadway. Upon performing a welfare check, Mr. Such was found to be intoxicated, but not injured, police said.
   A check for identification resulted in the recovery of a baggie with marijuana and a small bag of cocaine, police said.
   Further, police said, while in custody, Mr. Such attempted to flee from officers and after a short foot chase, was again apprehended.Police said Mr. Such also provided a fraudulent name, date of birth, and address during the arrest process.
   The identification used by Mr. Such revealed to be fictitious resulting in an additional charge for such, police said.
   Bail in the matter was set at $5,000 with 10 percent option and Mr. Such was later released upon posting bail and presenting identification.
