PRINCETON AREA: Police blotter

Princeton Township
   A resident of Griggs Drive reported $750 worth of electronics and jewelry stolen from her home and car sometime over the past two months. Police said there was no sign of forced entry to either the home or the car.
   Zhanna Kovtunenko, 53, of Lawrenceville, was charged with burglary and theft on Sept. 25 at 12:58 p.m. for allegedly stealing an iPad from the Princeton Day School on Great Road sometime between Sept. 21 and Sept. 22.
   Maryann Oak, 43, of Cranbury, and Nataliya Alimova, 45, of North Brunswick, were in a two-car rear end crash on Route 27 at River Road on Sept. 25 at 6:38 p.m. Ms. Oak received a summons for careless driving.
   A victim reported the seat and rear wheel of his bicycle was stolen after he parked the bike near the Valley Road School at approximately 3:30 p.m. Police valued the items at approximately $80.
   James Hill, 51, of Trenton, received a summons for a municipal ordinance violation after allegedly going door-to-door on Longview Drive asking to perform odd jobs without a permit to solicit for business on Sept. 26 at 12:25 p.m.
   Carol Conklin, 58, of Trenton, and Margaret Rose of Princeton, were in a two-car crash in the intersection of Valley Road and Walnut Lane. Rescue personnel extricated Ms. Rose from her car and both Ms. Rose and Ms. Conklin were taken to a local hospital. Ms. Conklin received a summons for failure to stop at a stop sign.
   Princeton residents Ryan Everett, 22, and Robert Carter Jr., 45, were both charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams in the amphitheater area of Community Park North on Sept. 27 at 4:19 p.m. Mr. Carter was also charged with having an active warrant out of Trenton.
   Mark Pieros, 37, of Somerset, was charged with having active traffic warrants in the amount of $144 out of Robbinsville on Route 206 near Cherry Hill Road on Sept. 29 at 7:46 a.m.
   Juan Orellana, 63, of Trenton, and Charles Beach Jr., 68, of Princeton, were in a two-car crash on Route 206 at Mountain Avenue on Sept. 30 at 6:36 p.m. Mr. Orellana received a summons for failure to yield to oncoming traffic.
   Princeton Borough
   Nicholas Walthery, 24, of Old Westbury, NY, was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia on Mercer Street on Sept. 30 at 5:11 a.m.
   West Windsor
   Frank P. Crusen, 32, of Lawrenceville, was charged with eluding police and driving while intoxicated on Darah Lane on Sept. 12 at 2:13 a.m. He also received summonses for refusal to submit breath samples, speeding, failure to maintain a lane, driving while suspended, unregistered vehicle, unlicensed driver and reckless driving.
   Ramel A. Morgan, 19, of North Brunswick, was charged with driving while intoxicated on Quakerbridge Road in the area of the mall on Sept. 15 at 2:19 a.m. He also received summonses for underage driving while intoxicated, failure to maintain a lane, failure to keep right and maintenance of lamps.
   Allison M. Haase, 20, of West Windsor, was charged with use/under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia while parked on the dead end street of Bruntsfield Drive on Sept. 17 at 1:38 p.m. She also received a summons for a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.
   A commuter from Bensalem, Pa., reported an 18-inch scratch was placed on the driver’s side of his car sometime between 6:55 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Sept. 19 while the car was parked in the Vaughn Drive section of the Princeton Junction train station. Police said the estimated cost for repair was $350 and that a check of the area did not reveal any evidence or leads.
   A resident of Hamilton Township reported that the tires and rims, which were valued at $2,600, were stolen from her SUV sometime between 6:10 p.m. on Sept. 22 and 3:12 a.m. on Sept. 23 while it was parked in the Wallace Pay Lot at the Princeton Junction train station. Police said the vehicle was left on cinder blocks and sustained approximately $400 in damages.
   Montgomery
   A juvenile, 17, of Montgomery, was charged with driving while intoxicated on Route 206 in the area of Wall Street on Sept.26 at 4:53 p.m. The juvenile was also charged with underage driving while intoxicated, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, improper passing and a probationary driver violation. ***
   John Stevens, 72, of Camden Wyoming, Del., James A. Leonard, 30, of New York City, and Staci R. Nelson-Baylor, 44, of Delran, were in an accident on Route 206 near Applegate Drive on Sept. 29 at 2:13 p.m. Police said Mr. Stevens drifted over the double yellow lines and collided head-on with with Mr. Leonard, who was also struck by Ms. Nelson-Bayor when she swerved to avoid the collision. Mr. Leonard and a passenger in his car, Mr. Stevens and a passenger, and Ms. Nelson-Bayor were all taken to the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro with minor injuries. Mr. Stevens received summonses for failing to keep right and careless driving.
Plainsboro
   Amit K. Biswas, 39, of South Plainfield, was charged with driving while intoxicated on Route 1 on Sept. 30 at 3:54 p.m. He also received summonses for reckless driving, speeding and failure to maintain a lane.
   Innocent U. Eleazu, 52, of Bordentown, was charged with driving while intoxicated on Route 1 in the area of the Courtyard Marriot on Sept. 29 at 2:59 a.m.
   Robert J. Thomaszfski, 24, of Manville, was charged with driving while intoxicated on Route 1 on Oct. 1 at 12:15 a.m.
