New Jersey community, celebrates its 60
thank customers and support a local charity. From October 22
Bake Shoppes will feature a daily product offered at a special “roll-back price” reflecting its
opening in 1952. Selections include $.52 cupcakes, $1.52 rye bread, $.52 cannoli, and more.
The savings for customers are even sweeter because 100% of the sales of the rollback items will
be donated to Elijah’s Promise, a Central New Jersey organization that uses food as a tool to
alleviate hunger.
Each day, in addition to the “rollback” item, customers will have the chance to enter daily
drawings for prizes like a dozen cupcakes a month for a year or a free cup of coffee every day for
a year. There will also be unadvertised specials available each day to provide customers with
even more savings.
The event culminates with an anniversary celebration on Sunday October 28
will be served in all La Bonbonniere locations, a drawing will be held for a 32” LCD television,
and 10% of all store sales on Sunday will be donated to Elijah’s Promise.
“Our business is unique – it’s almost from a different era,” says Brian Pansari, owner of La
Bonbonniere. “It’s fun to hear the stories from families who come into the bakery and talk about
how they grew up with the bakery as children and now they are bringing in their children or even
grandchildren to try our products. We still make products the way we did 60 years ago with high
quality ingredients and skilled bakers. Each generation of bakers passes on the knowledge to the
next so we maintain consistency.”
“We wanted to thank our customers for supporting us for 60 years by giving them some
incredible discounts and an opportunity to win great prizes. We also wanted to help a local
organization that supports the community. Elijah’s Promise is the perfect partner for this
celebration since they focus on using food to help people in need.”
“With more people than ever in need of food assistance, La Bonbonniere is opening their doors
and hearts to share their amazing breads and treats to ensure nobody in need goes hungry,” stated
Lisanne Finston, Executive Director at Elijah’s Promise. “We hope folks come out to celebrate
this milestone to support a great business and important cause.”
