HILLSBOROUGH: Leaves, grass must be bagged or in container

Don’t rake your leaves or grass clippings into the street.
If you do, it could result in a stiff fine of $125, being ordered to do community service or even a stint in jail.
Police Chief Paul Kaminsky urged residents to comply with the ordinance, which says yard waste must be put in a container.
The township Department of Public Works will start the leaf pickup program on Nov. 5. For information, call 908-369-3950 or go online at www.hillsborough-nj.org for schedules.
If you employ one, tell your lawn contractor, too.
