A Landing man was killed Monday morning on Interstate 95, near the Princeton Pike exit, when his car was struck by a tractor-trailer truck and pushed into the rear of the car in front of his vehicle, according to New Jersey State Police.
Andrew Kominek, 59, who was driving a Subaru Forester northbound on the highway, was pronounced dead at the scene a few minutes after the 8:39 a.m. accident. His car was sandwiched between the truck and a Chevrolet Cruze, police said.
Karen Osif, 58, of Trenton, who was driving the Chevrolet, and Wilson Peralta, 29, of New Brunswick, who was driving the truck, suffered minor injuries. Ms. Osif was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton and Mr. Peralta was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton.
The accident is under investigation by the state police. No summonses have been issued, pending completion of the investigation.
