MILLSTONE Millstone Township Foundation for Educational Excellence (MTFEE) will host its second annual Family Movie Day featuring the film, “Dolphin Tale,” on Oct. 14 at the Millstone Township Performing Arts Center.
MTFEE is a nonprofit organization devoted to funding grants for items for students in the Millstone Township School District.
Pre-movie kids’ activities including carnival games, Halloween-themed crafts and games, face painting and tattoos, are planned for 1 p.m. The movie, “Dolphin Tale,” will start at 2:30 p.m. A concession stand will be available for refreshments.
A $5 minimum donation is requested with advanced RSVP. The cost is $6 at the door.
MTFEE will be taking a separate collection that day, which will be donated to Clearwater Marine Aquarium in the name of “Millstone Township Students.”
Families who pre-order tickets online will be entered into a raffle to win either a “Family Four Pack Movie Night,” which includes four AMC Gold movie passes, two fountain sodas, and popcorn or one of four “Date Night Packs,” which include two AMC Gold movie passes.
The foundation asked the teachers in the primary and elementary schools to poll their students on several popular family-friendly movies. The winning movie was “Dolphin Tale,” (PG) about a brave dolphin and the compassionate strangers who band together to save her life.
