Did you know that People with Alzheimer’s Disease and other dementias who live alone are exposed to higher risks? Some of the risks include inadequate self-care, malnutrition, untreated medical conditions, injury caused by a fall, wandering from the home unattended and accidental death. Currently there are over 5.4 million Americans that have Alzheimer’s disease or a related memory impairment.
Join us for an educational program and discussion entitled Memory Loss the Basics for the Caregiver, presented by The Alzheimer’s Association on Tuesday evening October 23rd from 6-8pm, at The Martin and Edith Stein Assisted Living Residence, 350 DeMott Lane, Somerset, NJ 08873.
This educational presentation will teach you the basics about memory loss, as well as help you determine if it is just forgetfulness or if it could be something more serious. This program is designed to help families caring for a loved one that has recently shown signs of or been diagnosed with Memory Loss. It will be presented in a small comfortable setting that will give participants the opportunity to speak about their specific concerns and questions.
