HILLSBOROUGH: Salon, boutique will snip ceremonial ribbons

Two Hillsborough stores will hold grand-opening ceremonies this weekend.
“Salon Dare,” run by Melanie Dare, expects to have Hillsborough Mayor Carl Suraci snip the ceremonial ribbon at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at the shop in the Triangle Center plaza, off Route 206.
There will be a DJ, refreshments and the Hillsborough Mitey Mites cheerleaders will run a raffle to help raise money for their trip to perform at Disney World.
At 10 a.m. Maria Scerbo and her son, Frank, will have a grand opening ceremony of their boutique, named Haute, at 315 Route 206 in the Hillsborough Promenade.
Haute carries accessories for women — scarves, hats, gloves, day and evening handbags, small leather goods, costume jewelry from a casual silver necklace to evening wear and fun, fashionable watches. Our gift collection includes bridal and girlfriend gifts.
