CHAPTER A
”Medicare Maze” is the topic for our speaker at our Nov. 1 meeting. The Dollar Store will be open that day, and Mollie Zezulinski is looking for helpers for that event.
Nominations for the 2013 positions (president, vice president, treasurer, financial secretary, corresponding secretary and recording secretary) on the Executive Board will be accepted again at the November meeting. Candidates will present their qualifications at the November meeting. Elections will be held at the December meeting, with installations in January.
Meetings start at 12:30 with doors open at 11:30, allowing time to review upcoming events. Refreshments are served after the meeting.
Members may at any time contribute kitchen supplies — coffee, decaf, napkins, plastic sandwich bags, etc. All Hillsborough seniors are invited and may join our club at any meeting. Dues are $5 a year.
Executive Board meetings are the fourth Wednesday of every month. Our president is Dick Meier, 908-359-6948.

Thursday, Nov. 8 — Trip to “A Playhouse Christmas 2012” musical revue at the Hunterdon Hills Playhouse “ near Clinton is back on the schedule. Leaves from Kohl’s parking lot at 10:15 a.m. New cost is $80.
Thursday, Nov. 15 — Hillsborough Senior Bingo, hosted by Chapter B, at 11:30 a.m. at the Municipal Building. Hot dog lunch is $3. Ticket is required.
Tuesday, Dec. 4 — “Christmas Blessings & Holiday Cheer” at the Royal Manor in Garfield. Departs from Kohl’s parking lot at 10 a.m. Cost is $83, which includes two complimentary cocktails.
Sunday, Dec. 16 — Holiday party at noon at the Falcon Club. ’Good food, music, prizes. Cost is $25 for members, refunded at event, and non-refundable $35 for guests.
We go to the Taj Mahal (within walking distance of the new Revel Casino) in Atlantic City the first Monday of the month. The trip is open to members and non-members (over 21) for $30, with $25 returned. Departs at 9 a.m. from Kohl’s lot and returns at about 7:30 p.m. Call Jo at 908-359-6418 for reservations. CHAPTER B
It seems like summer has just ended and here we celebrating our fall luncheon, today, Thursday, at the Municipal Building. Tickets for this event had to be purchased in advance; none will be sold at door. As has been our policy lately, doors are opening at 10:30 a.m. Tickets sales for events will begin at 11.
At noon, after some announcements, our luncheon will begin.
On Oct. 23 two buses of Chapter B seniors and guests will head for Pomona, New York, for an Octoberfest celebration. We have been here before and have enjoyed lots of good food, music, dancing and entertainment. All who have signed up are looking forward to this trip.
I am still hearing of the wonderful trip to the Berkshires in Massachusetts that some of our seniors enjoyed last week. We have Bob and Sandy Kwietniak to thank. They have put many hours and thought into making this a very special trip for our seniors. Much thanks to you both.
Flu shots will be available after the meeting beginning around 1:30 or 2 p.m. If interested in receiving the shot, please ask for a number as you sign in. Please have your Medicare card available.

Thursday, Oct. 18: Bingo. Cost of $3 includes two hot dogs, snacks, drink and prizes.
Monday, Dec. 31: New Year’s Eve at noon. Held at the Brownstone in northern New Jersey and will feature a band and comedian; two free drinks and a complete lunch (soup, salad, roast beef, roast turkey, stuffing, rolls and special dessert.) Soda and beer will be available at each table — all for $67. You will be home in plenty of time to welcome in the new year with your family.
