Teenaged Touring Guitarist Plays Local Show

By Matt Wong Publicity
"Wong is no ordinary performer." – R. Kurt Osenlund, Pennington Post
It’s true, Matt Wong from West Windsor, NJ, is not your typical teenaged guitarist. Only 15 years old, Wong has toured the tri-state area and Pennsylvania. On November 3rd, Wong will play a local show in Princeton, NJ.
Wong began playing the guitar when he was six years old. He currently plays a style of guitar called fingerstyle. Using this method, Matt plays the melody, along with the rhythm and bass parts simultaneously. He can also add in a little percussion. In October 2011, he released his debut album,Fly me to the Moon, which is comprised of original compositions and arrangements of pieces for fingerstyle. Matt first began playing fingerstyle when he heard legendary guitarist, Tommy Emmanuel play via YouTube. If you like Tommy, then you will LOVE Matt Wong.
