District Superintendent Dr. Gary McCartney announced at Monday’s Board of Education meeting that three students from South Brunswick High School have been named National Achievement Scholarship recipients.
This marks a 50 percent increase in the school’s single year previous achievements, Dr. McCartney said.
This feat goes along with this year’s senior class, who have also been awarded nine National Merit Scholarships and 36 seniors have been designated as Commended Students via the National Merit accreditation organization.
The total of 45 recognized students’ ties the all-time record for such honors from the school, according to Dr. McCartney.
