MANVILLE: Deli owner says, "We’re not making it"

To the editor:
I am writing to let the people of Manville know that despite the best efforts of my family and staff to continue the legacy of the Midtown Deli and provide good quality, low-cost food to the community, we are failing.
We have a very loyal group of followers but the volume has not shown any growth in six months. Our vendors have been very patient with us and we have tried to keep a smile on our faces but the time may be coming to give up the fight.
The people of Manville need to support their local businesses or there will be none. Main Street is already full of troubled business and vacant stores. It is a shame to see the decline over the last 10 years.
We have mailed coupons, run adds, put menus on doors, given away food and tried every other gimmick. If you haven’t tried us please give us a chance. We are here to serve the community. If you want us to.
