To the editor:
My name is Dennis A. Breen and I am an independent candidate for New Jersey’s 7th Congressional seat.
As an Independent it is very difficult getting the word out, particularly when one of your goals is to get money and special interest out of politics.
Often people think that voting for an independent is a waste of a vote. Such thinking is misguided. Voting for an independent is the only real voice you have. As an independent there are no special interests, no back room bosses, no one other than the voter who counts. Voting for an independent gives you a voice in government again.
We keep sending the same two groups back to Washington over and over and over again and wonder why nothing ever gets done! It’s like have the Yankees and Mets play against each other over and over again. Do we really expect things to change when we keep sending the same players back over and over again?
It’s time to think outside the box! Time to send the same old players a message – it’s time for change. Time to get something done! Time to stop pointing fingers, roll up our sleeves and solve problems.
So think outside the box! Stand up. Vote independent. Remember, things will not change until we the people stand up and make them change!
