PRINCETON The 17-member search committee looking for the next Princeton University president will include two current undergraduates and a graduate student.
Kathryn A. Hall, the chairwoman of the school’s board of trustees, announced Monday the names of the people serving on the committee. They include nine trustees including Ms. Hall, four members of the faculty, three students and one university staff member.
The committee is drawn from the ranks of academia and business, most of whom either graduated from the university or are current students. Their task will be find a replacement for president Shirley M. Tilghman, who has served since 2001.
On Sept. 22, Ms. Tilghman announced her plans to retire when the current school year ends in June. The first woman to serve, she is the 19th president in school history.
