Shansel Cheghe of Hillsborough, a student in Raritan Valley Community College’s ophthalmic science program, has received a $500 grant as part of the 2012 Hoya Vision Care Grant and Scholarship Program for Opticianry Schools. She is one of four regional winners in the running for a $2,500 scholarship.

All of the winning ePosters will be evaluated and scored by apanel of judges. The student with the highest cumulative score in each of four regions will receive a trip to the American Board of Opticianry/National Contact Lens Examiners meeting from Nov. 1-4 in Arlington, Va.
