Elections ahead

   Election Day is Nov. 6.
   Across the nation, President Barack Obama faces Republican challenger Mitt Romney.
   Locally, there are several municipal and school board elections also slated.
   In Bordentown City, residents can vote to fill one seat on the Bordentown Regional Board of Education. There is no municipal election.
   In Bordentown Township, in a contested race, there are two Township Committee seats up this year. Five candidates are also competing for two township seats on the Bordentown Regional Board of Education.
   In Chesterfield, there is one uncontested Township Committee seat up this year. For the Northern Burlington County Regional School District election, there is one Chesterfield board seat up and one one-year unexpired term up. There is also one seat up for the Chesterfield Township Board of Education with three candidates vying for the position.
   In Fieldsboro there is a one-year unexpired term for mayor, which is uncontested. In the Borough Council race, there are two full-term seats and one unexpired two-year term up Nov. 6.
   There is no municipal election in Florence this year. Residents can vote on three full-term open seats and one one-year unexpired seat on the Florence Township Board of Education.
   In Mansfield, there are two Township Committee seats up this year. Voters can also select candidates to fill two seats on the NBC Board of Education. There are three full-term seats and one two-year unexpired seat up on the Mansfield Township Board of Education.
   There are two Township Council seats up in Springfield Township and three seats up on the Springfield Township Board of Education.
   In New Hanover, there are two Township Committee seats up as well as two seats up on the New Hanover Board of Education.
   In a contested race, there are two Township Committee seats up in North Hanover Township and one seat up for election on the North Hanover Township Board of Education.
