POLICE BLOTTER: Week of Oct. 25

Florence
   On Saturday, Oct. 20, at approximately 2:06 a.m. patrols were dispatched to a fight call in the area of Hornberger Avenue and Third Avenue in front of the municipal parking lot, police said.
   Responding officers found a group of males in the area and were directed to a male lying on the ground in the municipal parking lot, police said. Upon arrival of the officers the victim, Robert Bradbury, 27, of Schwenksville, Pennsylvania, was unconscious.
   The Florence Township Fire Department EMS ambulance had been dispatched to the scene to render first aid, police said.Mr. Bradbury was transported to Lourdes Medical Center in Willingboro where he was treated for injuries sustained during the fight. As of press time his condition was unknown.
   There did not appear to be any weapons involved in the incident, police said. The investigation is continuing into the motive for the fight. No other parties sustained injuries.
   Larry Roberson, 26, of Florence, was charged with aggravated assault, and failure to render aid to an injured person. His bail was set at $150,000 in full.
   A second individual, Shondale Woods, 21, of Florence, was charged with failure to render aid to an injured person and obstruction of justice. Mr. Woods’ bail was set at $25,000.
   Police said a third person, William Emmons Jr., 23, of Browns Mills, was arrested who was found to be in the area when the fight occurred.
   Police said Mr. Emmons left the scene after the fight and eventually stole a car from the Roebling section of town.
   An officer, who was on scene of the assault, observed a red SUV drive by the initial scene at an extremely high rate of speed, police said.
   The officer pursued the vehicle on Hornberger Avenue as Mr. Emmons drove through a stop sign at Delaware Avenue, refusing to stop for the officer who was attempting to stop the vehicle with all emergency lights and sirens activated, according to police.
   Police said Mr. Emmons abandoned the car and ran on foot. He left the vehicle running and in gear and it eventually came to rest against a utility pole.
   Several hours later a resident of Olive Street called police to report seeing a man trying to get into a neighbor’s vehicle, police said. The man reportedly walked toward Delaware Avenue and was eventually located in the area of Emerick Avenue.
   A foot pursuit ensued and Mr. Emmons was located hiding in the rear yard of a residence, police said. He was then taken to police headquarters, where, during the investigation, police said it was discovered that Mr. Emmons had taken the car the SUV.
   Police said when he was arrested Mr. Emmons was found to have a controlled dangerous substance, stolen property, and brass knuckles in his possession.
   At the time of this news release the Police Department is still investigating thefts from several other vehicles throughout the Florence Township to see if the crimes are related.
   Mr. Emmons’ bail was set at $150,000. Mr. Emmons was charged with failure to render first aid to an injured person, burglary, theft of a motor vehicle, eluding, receiving stolen property, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and numerous motor vehicle charges.
   All three men were taken to the Burlington County Jail in lieu of the posted bail. The investigation is pending.
MANSFIELD
   Police said numerous unlocked vehicles parked in driveways were burglarized in the area of Millennium Drive and South Hockey Drive on the night of Oct. 14. Various items were stolen.
   The Police Department is investigation the incidents and is urging residents to lock their vehicles even when parked in their own driveways. Police also ask that folks report any suspicious activity.
