What began as a pilot program just four years ago has evolved into one of the most popular sessions at Mercer County Community College – the Winter Session, which is now open for enrollment.
Students home on winter break, local students wanting a head-start on Spring Session, or students needing to make up a class will have an opportunity to earn college credits online or on campus through the Winter Session, with six and three-week courses available.
Online courses, offered through Mercer’s Virtual College, run for six weeks. Students can study from home or office at their convenience in areas that include communications, criminal justice, English, health, mathematics, nursing and Spanish.
On-site classes run for three weeks at both the West Windsor and the Trenton campuses. Classes meet two to four days per week, and are offered both days and evenings. Courses include beginning algebra, hospitality, funeral services, photography, and psychology, among many others.
In addition to Winter Session, registration is also open for Spring Semester courses at Mercer. Beginning dates for Winter Session and Spring Session classes are:
· Winter Session online courses: December 17
· Winter Session on-site classes: December 26
· Spring Semester courses: January 22
· Later-starting business courses: January 18
· Other later-starting courses: February 26
