KidZdent, 2455 Route 516, Old Bridge, will sponsor a three-day “Cash for Candy” program from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 1, 2 and 5. Patients of the pediatric dental and orthodontic office are encouraged to bring in their Halloween candy and receive money in return. Each patient will be given a participation certificate and $1 per pound (up to 5 pounds) for candy he or she collected on Halloween. All candy will be donated to American troops stationed overseas. Manasquan Savings Bank, with eight offices in Monmouth and Ocean counties, has announced the funding of the construction of two low-income homes through a partnership with Coastal Habitat for Humanity and the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York. The project is part of the Asbury Park Westside Redevelopment project. It is the second project for Manasquan this year. In March, Coastal Habitat for Humanity dedicated a home on Borden Avenue thanks to construction financing through Manasquan Savings Bank.
Dr. Wayne Graber and Dr. Brian M. Peters of Bear Brook Commons Dental Group, Marlboro, are conducting a food drive and Toys for Tots collection. The food will be donated to the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties. The toys will be given to the U.S. Marine Corps for distribution to children. Turning Point restaurants in Brick Township, Little Silver, Holmdel, Long Branch, Manalapan, Hoboken and Westfield are teaming up with the Kortney Rose Foundation to raise money for pediatric brain tumor research and awareness.
The Kortney Rose Foundation’s (KRF) third annual Great Food for a Great Cause fundraiser will take place at Turning Point restaurants from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 10- 11. Diners making a donation to KRF during those hours will receive gift cards for free entrees on their next visit to a Turning Point. Dr. Yana Nemtseva and the staff of Cambridge Square Dental in Morganville want to lead the anti-cavity movement by giving away dollars, prizes and other goodies in exchange for Halloween sweets. This year, trick-or-treaters can exchange their excess candy at Cambridge Square Dental for $1 per pound. The first person to submit 5 pounds of candy will receive a $25 gift card.
