While Gov. Chris Christie has announced that Halloween will be celebrated on Monday Nov. 5, after assessing conditions throughout Middletown and consulting with the Middletown Township Police Department and township emergency management officials it has been determined that conditions throughout the township are still far too unsafe on many streets to risk the safety of children and residents.
Instead, working with the Board of Education, the township will sponsor a special Halloween Celebration on Sunday Nov. 11.
Further details will follow in the coming days; look for updates on the township website, http://www.middletownnj.org/
