New residents of The Pointe at Turnbury enjoy active adult lifestyle

For Stephen and Yolanda Chen, it was the desire to live in an affordable home with lower property taxes and less maintenance work, in a location near their friends. For Keri and Paul Saltin, it was the opportunity to own a brand new townhome with two bedrooms, three baths, a study, and 2,105 square feet of interior living space for the same cost as the 25-yearold townhome they were living in. Active adult buyers choose to buy a home at The Pointe at Turnbury for many reasons, but the one thing these new residents have in common is they’re delighted with the incredible value they received for their home-buying dollar. The Chens lived in a four-bedroom home in West Windsor for 15 years, but when their children moved out of the house they decided it would be a good time to move and escape their high property taxes.

“We saw the price and location of The Pointe at Turnbury and it was exactly what we were looking for,” Mrs. Chen said. “We made our decision within a couple of weeks and our friends decided to follow us here.”

The Chens decided on a Cedarbury model with two bedrooms, three bathrooms, a den, a two-car garage and a finished basement. They like their location near the Princeton Junction train station and just 10 minutes from the shopping, dining and cultural attractions of downtown Princeton. Two other couples they know bought homes near them and moved in right at the same time, so they enjoy spending time with their friends and meeting new people.

The Saltins had lived locally for more than 25 years when they discovered The Pointe at Turnbury.

“We weren’t in the market for a new home but were very curious to see what this community was all about,” recalls Mr. Saltin. “Having previously lived in large townhome communities, we always assumed that when we retired it would be to a place that was smaller, more intimate.

“When we arrived at Turnbury, we were so captivated that we gave a deposit on a new Cedarbury townhome right away.”

Girish and Aruna Shah decided to move from Hazlet to a location closer to their son’s house and were pleasantly surprised to find The Pointe at Turnbury was offering beautiful new construction townhomes at prices far below the other communities they visited. They bought an Elmbury townhome with three bedrooms, a first-floor terrace and 2,342 square feet of interior living space.

“This is a very convenient location, and for the area,

you absolutely cannot beat the price,” Mr. Shah said. “Everything is nearby; that is how we look at it. The management here is courteous and cooperative and the neighbors are very nice. We are very happy with our choice to live here.”
