PACKET MEDIA GROUP Report
HIGHTSTOWN – Although Melvin H. Kreps Middle School remains without power, classes will resume for East Windsor Regional School District students tomorrow.
There will be modifications to the normal daily schedule for middle and high school students.
November 5, Hightstown High School students will have classes from 7:25 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Middle school students will have classes beginning 10:45 a.m. at the high school.
"(Middle school) students who ride buses should report to their stops three hours later than their typical report time," said Superintendent Edward Forsthoffer on Sunday.
Elementary students will have classes under their normal schedules and at their respective schools. They will be picked up from their normal bus stops.
"If your child’s stop appears to be unsafe, please go to the next existing stop on your route if you are aware of it," Mr. Forsthoffer said. "Also, there will be no breakfast or lunch served to middle school students. If your child is a walker to the middle school, he or she should report to the front of the middle school at 10:20 a.m.
Because some walkways are unsafe, it is recommended that parents try to arrange transporting their students to Kreps and then the students will be driven by bus to the high school," he said. "If a student does walk to the middle school, please be alert and avoid any fallen trees, branches, or wires."
