Superintendent of the South Brunswick School District Dr. Gary P. McCartney announced that schools would be closed on Monday. He explained that five schools remain without power, numerous roads remained closed from fallen trees, and major intersections still do not have power. “I considered all aspects of trying to get the students back in school, but the safety of the busses and student drivers led me to cancel school for Monday”, said Dr. McCartney.
He added that at the Board of Education meeting on Monday night he plans to have the school year calendar modified to have classes held on Thursday November 8th and Friday November 9th. Dr. McCartney will provide an update on Monday about the rest of the school week.
ALL ACTIVITIES AT ALL SCHOOLS ARE CANCELLED FOR MONDAY.
THE BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETING AT CROSSROADS NORTH WILL STILL BE HELD
