A number of areas have had powered restored today. All traffic signals are working on Route 1 with the exception of Route 522. All three shelter locations will be open on Monday. There is no changes in polling locations.

*** Power Update ***
PSE&G crews were at several locations in the Township. Areas reporting restored power in the last six hours include parts of Royal Oaks Apartments, parts of Summerfield Development, Liberty Mall, Jordan Way area, Blackhorse Lane, Broadway Road area, Quincy Circle Road area.
PSE&G asked that residents call 800-436-7734 to check on the status of their work order. In some cases the system is reading power restored and residents need to make sure they notify PSE&G if there is still no power. Please do not call police headquarters to report power outages.
***ROADS***
A number of roads have been reopened in the past day. These include the following;
ROUTE 27 – in both directions the entire length
NEW ROAD, BROADWAY ROAD, and MILLER ROAD
Traffic signals are working 522 / Georges Road , Rout130 / Deans Rhode Hall
*** FUEL ***
Gas restrictions are currently in place. There are 10 gas stations open in the Township along the major highways. Delays appear to have eased at most locations.
*** SAFETY / DAYLIGHT SAVINGS ***
Tonight is daylight savings and clocks need to be set back an hour. The South Brunswick Fire Safety Bureau reminds residents to change your smoke detector batteries. Please also keep generators at least ten feet away from your residences while in operations. There have been a handful of cases where carbon monoxide levels have risen to high levels as a result of improper operation.
Please use extreme caution when cutting down fallen trees.
ALL SHELTER LOCATIONS WILL BE OPEN AGAIN ON SUNDAY.
