HILLSBOROUGH: Half of township will vote at high school

Storm forces relocation of 14 voting sites

Voters in slightly less than half of Hillsborough Township will have to cast ballots tomorrow, Tuesday, in a location different from the one they are used to.
Power outages caused relocation of many of the township’s 34 polling places. Instead, the high school will host 14 voting districts in its gymnasium of the school on Raider Boulevard.
Polls that were moved to the high school were:
— Districts 2, 13, and 14, previously voting at Mary, Mother of God Church;
— Districts 5 and 7, previously at Sunnymead School;
— Districts 8 and 30, from Woodfern School;
— Districts 18 and 22, previously at Woods Road School;
— Districts 9 and 11, from Amsterdam School, and
Districts 20, 25 and 27, which normally used Fire Company No. 3 on Woods Road. It was without power Monday and operating on generator power.
Even if electricity is restored to the “normal” polling places, the new locations would be in effect for this election.
