Police blotter items from Allentown Borough
ALLENTOWN
Jalelle Mengesha, 31, of Orange, was charged with driving while suspended after a motor vehicle stop on North Main Street at 7:10 p.m. on Oct. 25, police said.
Patrolman Richard Lerche also impounded Ms. Mengesha’s vehicle for non-registration. Ms. Mengesha was processed and released with a pending court date.
A skateboard valued at $250 was stolen from outside a residence on Twain Drive.
The victim told Patrolman Nicholas Del’Acqua at 8:20 a.m. Oct. 25 that the skateboard had been left in front of the home. There are no suspects at this time.
Kristy L. Watters, 33, of Hamilton, was charged with driving while suspended at 3:15 p.m., Oct. 26 after a motor vehicle stop on South Main Street, police said.
Patrolman Tim Purpuri also impounded Ms. Watters’ vehicle for non-registration. Police said Ms. Watters was processed at police headquarters and issued summonses for having an uninsured vehicle, being an unlicensed driver, having a suspended registration and suspended driver’s license.
She was released with a pending court date.
Someone stole the wheels off a car parked overnight on South Main Street during the overnight hours of Oct. 28.
The victim told Lt. Dan Panckeri at 8:15 a.m. that he had parked his vehicle overnight on South Main Street near his residence and when he came out in the morning the car was up on cinderblocks without wheels. The stolen wheels are valued at $1,500.
