The world famous Harlem Wizards brought their zany tricks and ShowTime game of basketball to South Brunswick High School on Oct. 25.
The Wizards beat the South Brunswick All-Stars 81-67.
The All Stars were made up of a group of district teachers and community leaders.
The event was a fundraiser for the Citizens for Independent Living of Monmouth Junction. It was coordinated by CIL Board Member Jessie Parker, a retired kindergarten teacher from Cambridge School and drew a huge crowd and raised hundreds of dollars for the Monmouth Junction organization.
The crowd was entertained by the seven Wizards including legendary trickster TojoHenderson.
Henderson, in his usual comedy routines danced with the crowd, climbed into the bleachers, and brought his game of fun basketball (and baseball) to youngsters and adults.
Ms. Parker remarked that “this event was so successful, our supporters want the Wizards to return next year.”
