Four cell phones, valued at a combined $2,246, were reported stolen from the AT&T Mobility store on Brunswick Pike, after the store manager noticed that one of the phones was missing. A check on the inventory showed three more were missing, and which were likely taken between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. Nov. 3.
Kieran R. Duffy, 18, of Plainfield, was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia when a resident assistant at Ziegler Dorm smelled an odor of marijuana coming from his dorm room at 7:16 p.m. Nov. 3. Police found a metal grinder and two hand-rolled cigars containing marijuana in the room’s refrigerator. He was released on a summons.
Nigel Anthony Bamberry, 21, of Philadelphia, was charged with shoplifting for allegedly taking clothing worth $299.48 from Macy’s at the Quaker Bridge Mall at 4:22 p.m. Nov. 3.
An assortment of tools, worth $4,379 was reported stolen from two cargo containers and an office trailer at the New Jersey Department of Motor Vehicles inspection station on Brunswick Pike between noon Oct. 30 and 7 a.m. Oct. 31.
Artsiom Chykunou, 29, of Trenton, was charged with driving under the influence and assorted motor vehicle violations after the car he was driving was involved in an accident on Whitehead Road at 3:14 a.m. Oct. 30.
A Toro lawn mower, a Husky power washer and a gasoline can, worth a combined $520, were reported stolen from a shed at the rear of a house on Devon Avenue between noon and 5:29 p.m. Oct. 28. The thief pried off the hasp to get inside.
David L. Major, 23, of Puritan Avenue, was charged with driving under the influence and reckless driving after the car he was driving struck a parked car as he was backing out of his driveway at 3:27 p.m. Oct. 28.
Charmaine Wright, 22, of Hamilton, was charged with shoplifting clothing, jewelry and candy, worth a combined $75.99 from Macy’s at the Quaker Bridge Mall at 6:01 p.m. Oct. 27.
Joseph A. Bencivengo, Jr., 57, of Trenton, was charged with shoplifting clothing and jewelry valued at $149.98 from Sears at the Quaker Bridge Mall at 1:11 p.m. Oct. 27.
A Graf Avenue resident reported the theft of a GPS unit and a handheld computer, worth a total of $1,550, after a thief smashed the driver’s side window on his Ford pickup truck while it was parked in front of his home between 2:30 a.m. and 6 a.m. Oct. 27.
Frederick A. Defreitas, 18, of Trenton, was charged with shoplifting two knit hats, worth $84, from Macy’s at the Quaker Bridge Mall at 6:25 p.m. Oct. 26.
A Princeton Pike resident reported the theft of his 2000 BMW 328 sedan that was parked at his residence between 11 p.m. Oct. 25 and 6 a.m. Oct. 26. The car was unlocked and the keys were in the car, which was valued at $3,000.
Leigh A. Harrington, 25, of Pine Beach and Timothy McCann, 33, of Brick Township, were charged with criminal attempt, theft by deception and defiant trespass after they attempted to return a dress for $338 credit to Lord & Taylor at the Quaker Bridge Mall at 3:25 p.m. Oct. 26. Ms. Harrington also was charged with possession of burglar tools.
Wallets containing personal papers were reported stolen from unlocked cars belonging to Hughes Avenue and Betts Avenue residents while the cars were parked outside their owners’ homes between between 9 p.m. Oct. 25 and 7:30 a.m. Oct. 26.
A 15-year-old Trenton girl was charged with shoplifting 20 bottles of nail polish, worth a combined $85.25, from the CVS drugstore on Brunswick Pike at 7:40 p.m. Oct. 24.
Someone smashed the driver’s side window of a 2002 Chevrolet Malibu belonging to a Lawrence resident and stole a GPS unit, valued at $200, while the car was parked at the Pathway Car Care Center on Princeton Avenue between 5 p.m. Oct. 23 and 7:30 a.m. Oct. 24.
Four wheels and tires, worth $2,834.16, were removed from a 2011 Honda Fit belonging to an Easton, Pa., resident while the car was parked in a parking lot on Town Court North between 12:01 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. Oct. 24.
