Members of Neshanic Garden Club’s Garden Therapy committee meet monthly with residents at the Foothill Acres facility to create flower arrangements for their rooms.
The group prepares flowers for 16 arrangements. Usually residents are waiting, and they always find more to join in the fun as well.
”There are lots of smiles from the people participating,” said Carol Higgins. “We have lots of fun, laughs and even sing songs with the residents. Of course we sing happy birthday on their birthdays as well. We consider the once-a-month visits as important as making the arrangements.”
