From Jack Trotta, Plumsted Township Committee
To the editor:
I want to thank the residents of Plumsted Township for their support in the Nov. 6 election. I am humbled by the results. I look forward to working for each of you over the next there years whether you supported me or not.
I also want to take this opportunity to thank our police, fire, first aid, OEM, CERT team and the many volunteers that helped out during the recent storm, Sandy. It was heartening to see the community come together in a time of crisis to help one another.
As I write this, there are still some people without power in our town. Please know that we are in contact with JCP&L daily trying to get this resolved. In September, which was Hunger Action Month, the Township Committee recognized the work of the local food banks that service our town. I am sure that with the recent storm their resources are tested once again. Please help them if you can. Remember people go hungry all year long, not just during the year-end holidays.
Again, thank you for your support.
Jack A. Trotta
Plumsted Township Committee
