From Kenneth & Ruth Ann Degler, Robbinsville
To the editor:
We have been residents of Robbinsville for the last 41 years. Thankfully, we have never had to call the Robbinsville Fire Department. However, during the height of Hurricane Sandy the fire department responded to a call involving our home.
Our neighbor, Gary, noticed arcing at the side of our home and called 911. During the storm flashing was ripped off and was rubbing against the electrical wire to the house. The fire department contacted PSE&G and one fireman remained along the street for several hours as a safety precaution.
The Robbinsville Township Fire Department was very professional, as well as prompt. in responding to a potentially dangerous situation. Our heartfelt thanks go to them as well as to our neighbor, Gary, for their help during this stressful situation.
