Doctors Express (www.doctorsexpress.com), an exciting new concept in urgent medical care that is spreading rapidly across the United States, has announced that it will be opening an office in Bound Brook. Residents of Central New Jersey will soon have access to urgent medical care 365 days a year without having to wait for an appointment or visit a crowded, busy hospital emergency room.
“Our concept is to provide quality medical care right in your own neighborhood when you need it the most,” says Mark Zenz, Operator of the new Bound Brook office. “If you need urgent care on a weekend or after your family physician’s normal office hours, or if you are unable to get an immediate appointment, you can walk right in and be seen and treated right away. Our office will contain fully equipped onsite laboratory and X-ray facilities and will be staffed 365 days a year by highly trained medical doctors along with medical assistants and technicians.”
The first full time physician to be employed by Doctors Express will be Dr. Jennie Malone, a National Honor Society graduate of Bound Brook High School who received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine on the Virginia Tech campus in Blacksburg, VA and is Board Certified in Family Medicine.
“I am thrilled to be returning to Bound Brook and to be able to serve the residents of Central New Jersey, where I grew up,” says Dr. Malone. “I am also delighted to be affiliated with Doctors Express because it is such an exciting new concept in urgent medical care.”
Doctors Express seeks to complement the services of the patient’s family physician when they are unavailable. “We will ask our patients for contact information for their family physicians in order to forward a record of every medical procedure we perform to their family physician,” says Zenz. “Our objective is to provide their patients with an alternative to hospital emergency rooms, where they might have to endure long waits while emergency cases are given priority. Because of our fully equipped laboratory and X-ray facilities and our trained physicians, we are able to treat non-emergency cases and minimize the patient’s wait time” Doctors Express physicians will not offer routine medical procedures such as annual checkups and continuing care. “These are services that are best provided by family physicians,” says Zenz. “When the family physician is unavailable, however, we can treat trauma and acute illnesses, sports injuries and open wounds.”
Doctors Express will accept most medical insurance, including Medicare. “Even if you have no insurance, our rates are reasonable and we will work with you to minimize the costs to the patients,” says Zenz. “Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for patients to take advantage of the services we offer whenever they need them. We want patients to Get In, Get Out, and Get Better”
