SOUTH BRUNSWICK: American Legion calling for essays

   American Legion Post 401 in Monmouth Junction is calling on students to write essays on safety, according to its President, Gary Cooper.
   The essay contest is open to 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students of South Brunswick attending either public, private, or parochial schools, according to Mr. Cooper.
   ”The topic, What Safety Means to Me, must be certified by a teacher,” said Mr. Cooper. “(The essay should be) between 300-450 words, it may be written on a computer, typewriter, or by hand as long as it is legible.”
   The deadline for submission is Jan. 14, 2013.
